India has signed the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime along with its three protocols for preventing the trafficking in people, smuggling, and the illicit manufacturing and trafficking of firearms. Addressing the media in New Delhi, the foreign office spokesman, Navtej Sarna, said the government is committed to the objective and purpose of the UN convention.
