Budapest, December 20, 2002 (MTI-ECONEWS) - The cabinet has approved modifications to the government decree on student loans designed to make the system simpler, more cost effective and more beneficial to students, Tamas Csillag CEO of Diakhitel Kozpont (DK), the company that manages the student loan scheme, told the press on Friday.
The changes will mean that more students are eligible for loans and that the system will be more flexible. The method of repaying loans will change in that former students will pay 6pc of the minimum wage in the first two years of employment, and will thereafter pay 6pc of their average monthly …
