Choice voice `It was a sad day for Philadelphia sports when Scott Rolen was shipped out of town. But when the Cardinals return to the Vet for a series in mid-August, I'll be there. And if Rolen hits one to me, I'll throw back that ball like any home run ball from the enemy.'--David Frankenfield, Phoenixville, Pa.
A refreshing change
Excellent article on Trent Dilfer (TSN, July 29). I am not a Seahawks fan, a Ravens fan or a Bucs fan, but I enjoy seeing a guy like Dilfer experience positive change and success in his career. It's very refreshing to see a guy like him reflect on his character and make changes for the benefit of himself, his family and his teammates.

A first-class example
Thank you for your recognition of the Yankees' Derek Jeter as your 2002 No. 1 Good Guy in sports (TSN, July 22). We have long been admirers of his class and professionalism on the field and are thrilled that he is now receiving accolades for the outstanding work his foundation is doing. He is a shining example of an athlete who all children can look up to as a role model. The entire Jeter family is to be commended for its work toward making a difference in the lives of children.
