BANGALORE: Two months and Bangalore will be bin-free - if the BCC scheme succeeds. The BCC, no longer hesitant to introduce novelty, proposes to introduce the door-to-door garbage collection system in every road and bylane.

Once the cooperation of civic-minded residents is gained, community bins will be gradually removed. The BCC's immediate task is to effectively implement door-to-door garbage collection in the pourakarmika-manned health wards.
