Indonesia: Local TV stations broadcasting without frequency permits.

Not one local television station broadcasting in Indonesia has permission to use the frequency spectrum and satellite orbits [as received] issued by the Director General for Post and Telecommunications, as a government representative.

As a result of these violations, none of the TV stations which have do permits are able to broadcast, because their frequencies are being used by local TV stations.

"One of these is the local Bali TV station, which uses the frequency which should be used by Metro TV. Our requests that they not use this frequency have been totally ignored so far," said Lukman Hutagalung, …
