IN just two days, the MCA public service and complaint department received three loan shark-related cases involving RM125,000 in debts from 65 Ah Longs (loan sharks)! Department head Michael Chong said that of the three, a 35-year-old remisier owed 35 loan sharks RM90,000. The others were a 38-year-old accounts clerk who owed RM23,000 to 20 loan sharks, and a man with RM12,000 debts to 10 loan sharks. Chong said all the debts were the result of gambling.
