The most difficult part of picking the best player in the NFL is deciding which St. Louis Ram is most deserving.

On the one hand, you have Kurt Warner, the quarterback whose 103 career passer rating is the best in the history of the league by 6.2 points (he needs 97 more passes to qualify), and 26.3 points better than the combined passer rating of all other NFL players during his years as a starter (1999-2001).

On the other, you have Marshall Faulk, the running back whose three-year average per carry of 5.38 is the best in the NFL since Jim Brown averaged 5.6 over the final three years of his career (1963-65).
