Tokyo, Dec. 17 (Jiji Press)--General Motors Corp. and Federal Express Corp. of the United States said Tuesday they will conduct a joint commercial test of a fuel cell vehicle in Tokyo from June 2003.

GM will be the first foreign automaker to participate in Japan's fuel cell vehicle demonstration project led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The major U.S. automaker will provide the HydroGen 3, remodeled from the Zafira minivan manufactured by the group's German carmaker Opel, for Federal Express' parcel delivery service in Tokyo.
