- In a move to further open its markets to global trade, India Saturday announced the lifting of import curbs on 715 items when it unveiled a new export import policy.

- The ministry of tourism and culture on Saturday said it was optimistic the country will earn a revenue of US$5.5 billion from the tourism sector this year.
