The Jewish organization Toward Tradition has called for the federal government not to fund the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which currently receives 60 percent of its budget from the government and is run by a presidentially appointed Council that, Toward Tradition charges, has allowed it "to depart from its original mission of documenting the Holocaust."
