Basingstoke -- Fibernet [FIB LN], the high-speed data communications company, has begun taking orders for its Paris Carrier Ring, a major new international hub for voice telephony and IP traffic. The first confirmed customers include members of Fibernet's London Carrier Ring.
At an event in Paris, over 60 leading carriers and service providers heard how the Paris Carrier Ring has been designed to provide a responsive, high quality, low cost alternative to the expensive and commercially inflexible leased private circuits usually used by carriers and ISPs to exchange traffic. The service will be available during the third quarter of this calendar year.
