EVERETT, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2001
Never one to leave well enough alone, Intermec Technologies Corp. today introduced a feast of new features for its popular ColorCoder(TM) V4, a full-color bar code label printer that uses innovative thermal ink jet technology to create labels, tickets and tags.
The ColorCoder V4 already offers the ability to print labels on demand, in just the quantity needed, exactly when they're needed, saving money, time and storage space. And it prints fast: more than 100 labels per minute, with each label capable of incorporating full-color pictures, logotypes, text and bar codes.
Now the ColorCoder V4 also supports 2-dimensional bar codes QR-Code, Micro-QR Code, Maxicode and PDF417. Together with a new optional Version 5 PRO or ULTRA of Intermec's own LabelShop(R) software, users can print variable barcodes on the fly, without stopping between labels.
In addition, a new continuous media sensor allows users to print on continuous media (paper without gap or black marks), allowing full variable label length flexibility. This means you no longer have to swap out label rolls when moving between label lengths. Just change the print size of the label. This new feature also allows users to print banners of infinite length.
The continuous media sensor is now a standard feature on new ColorCoder V4 printers. Existing ColorCoders can be upgraded with an easy-to-install kit available from Intermec.
