TAIPEI, May 1 Asia Pulse - The number of returned checks due to insufficient funds reached 0.52 percent of all checks drawn in March, with their value accounting for some 0.42 percent of the value of all checks during the same month, according to statistics compiled by the Central Bank of China (CBC).
The CBC figures are the highest in three months and two months, respectively.
Some 14.6 million checks were issued during March, of which a total of 75,478 -- or 0.52 percent -- were returned due to insufficient funds, the figures show.
