MAN GROUP ACQUIRES AUSTRALIAN BROKERAGE FIRM ORD MINNETT.
SYDNEY, May 1 Asia Pulse - Ord Minnett Jardine Fleming Futures Ltd, one of Australia's largest futures broking firms, has been acquired by the Man Group plc.
"The acquisition by Man provides the perfect platform for us to expand our business further," Tony Fay head of futures at Ord Minnett said.
"Man and Ords offer similar products and have the same view on the direction of the futures business.
"Man's global presence will greatly enhance our access to markets while retaining our position as one of the largest independent futures brokers in the Australian market."
Kevin Davis, chief executive at Man Financial, the broking arm of Man Group, said there was a long-standing relationship with Ords.
