SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- P-Cube Inc., an industry innovator defining IP Service Engineering -- a new approach to broadband networking which turns the Internet into a profitable business for service providers -- today unveiled its market strategy. Centered around the IP Service Engineering framework, P-Cube empowers service providers to command the broadband traffic in their networks, creating profitable new service offerings for their customers. IP Service Engineering delivers accelerated return on investment (ROI) at a significantly lowered total cost of ownership (TCO) for service providers.
IP Service Engineering is a complete broadband IP service management and provisioning framework. It enables service providers to view all services, applications, and subscriber traffic in real-time; make intelligent provisioning decisions to create differentiated service packages; manage and shape applications for each subscriber or group at wire speed; and report activities to billing and other network business support systems (BSSs). Utilizing P-Cube's IP Service Engineering, service providers will increase revenue and network performance, and provision new, emerging applications. Examples of these applications include tiered services distribution, network hosted security and digital rights management.
"With even a fraction of concurrent subscribers paying an additional $3-5 per month for optional premium services, broadband providers utilizing IP Service Engineering can expect total return on investment in as little as 12 months, using their existing infrastructure," said Yuval Shahar, CEO of P-Cube Inc.
"Our goal is to build a service creation environment that allows us to provision networks for our customers based on their business needs, rather than on the way the network is put together," said Ohad Finkelstein, Chairman and CEO of Interoute, where customer trials of IP Service Engineering are currently underway. "P-Cube's IP Service Engineering, for us, means being able to offer customers a network solution which more closely matches the value of the network to their business." Partnerships also play a key role in P-Cube's market strategy. The P-Cube Partners Program includes co-marketing and co-sales activities between P-Cube and its partners, and is designed to bring together leading vendors within the service provider networks market to create new end-to-end revenue generating solutions. These solutions will create profitability by creating premium service offerings for subscribers. Key categories in P-Cube Partners Program are Billing and Mediation, System Integrators, Service Level Control, Provisioning Systems and Security.
"The ability to easily create new services and application revenue sources is key to future profitability of service providers. Unless vendors create these opportunities, they won't succeed," said Frank Dzubeck, president of ...
