According to a poll of bank loan officers, 35% of lenders expect the current softening of the economy will cause an increase in bad loans. Another 23% of loan officers say they are uncertain about how the current economic conditions would affect their outstanding loans, according to the survey conducted by Competix, a provider of loan automation services.
