2. Graphic Communications Group - History: 1. In Sept. 2003, EK announced the creation of the Graphic Communications Group.
2. At that time, EK's business consisted of the Encad wide-format
printing business and two joint ventures, NexPress and KPG.
3. Since then EK has acquired: 1. The Scitex Digital business, now called Kodak Versamark. 2. Heidelberg's share of the NexPress business and its digital monochrome press business. 4. The Co. has incorporated EK's leading production scanning and global service organization into Graphic Communications Group and begun the process of consolidating service across all its Graphic Communications businesses. 3. Marketing: 1. EK has kicked off an integrated marketing campaign showing the unified pace to the industry. 2. Today, EK is announcing the plan to make KPG part of the Graphic Communications portfolio. 3.
