SEOUL, June 1 Asia Pulse - Hotels in South Korea are renovating rooms and shops in anticipation of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, industry sources reported.
The Sheraton Walker Hill opened five new facilities, including a bar, a fusion cafe and an Italian restaurant, to take its tally to 11, the most of all hotels in downtown Seoul. The bar is of particular interest as it is the nation's first venue featuring belly dancing performances.
The Shilla, designated by FIFA as the hotel for visiting VIPS, has restored its luxury suites and is expanding duty-free shops and replacing many of its older facilities.
