NEW DELHI, June 1 Asia Pulse - The Indian government has agreed to subscribe to Iraqi wheat standards and will be making the required arrangements to bring down inorganic matter to the minimal level in the consignment sent to Baghdad, though this does not form part of the original contract.

"Since it is a lucrative deal we are prepared to cater to the Iraqi requirements though the contract nowhere mentions a stipulation of zero per cent inorganic matter which even otherwise in the wheat sent was much below the international limits," sources in State Trading Corporation (STC) told PTI.
