TOKYO, June 1 Asia Pulse - Sony Corp. (6758) has set a tentative price range of 3,000-3,500 yen a share in book-building ahead of the June debut of its tracking stock, the company said Thursday.
The issue, the first of its kind in Japan, will track the performance of wholly owned Internet service provider Sony Communications Network Corp. (SCN). Sony will issue 3.07 million shares to raise 9.2 billion (US$77.18 million) to 10.8 billion yen.
The tentative price has been set on the basis of the opinions of institutional investors, as well as comparisons with other publicly traded firms with similar businesses and performances.
