The Asian Development Bank offers a host of opportunities, but not all local businesses may benefit.

The bank awards contracts for providing goods and services, or working as consultants on its technical assistance projects. But all, of them fall under the sectors of social, infrastructure, agriculture and natural resources, energy and telecoms, says Cinnamon Dornsife, U.S. ambassador and executive director of the ADB board.

If a local business doesn't have expertise in one of these areas, then the bank has nothing to offer.
