Macromedia Updates Freehand.(Brief Article)(Product Announcement)
Freehand 10, the latest version of Macromedia's design software for graphics professionals, features improvements to illustration tools; a new interface that includes tighter integration with Macromedia Flash 5, the company's popular Web animation tool; and improved capabilities for publishing across multiple platforms, including print and the Internet.
Illustration upgrades include new symbol-based spray and brush strokes, the ability to do true contour gradients, and the option of embedding fonts in both Macintosh and Windows EPS files.
Chief among the product's productivity additions are customizable master pages, with which updates to a single page can be achieved simultaneously for all child pages.
