CAPE CORAL -- The Port Charlotte National Little League not only ended Punta Gorda's scoreless streak, it also ended its winning streak.

Port Charlotte National scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a tie and defeat Punta Gorda 4-2 in the District 9 Little League 11- 12-year-old winners' bracket final Monday night at Koza-Salidino Field.

Bidding to become the first Port Charlotte Little League team to win a district title, National must lose twice to be denied a spot in the Sectionals.
