TOKYO, July 2 Asia Pulse - Minister of state for Japan's Financial Services Agency Hakuo Yanagisawa has urged bank leaders to speed up the elimination of bad loans.
"Bad-loan disposal should be undertaken at an early time; then there is a need for banks to win the trust of domestic and overseas markets," he said in a meeting.
Japanese Bankers Association Chairman Yoshiro Yamamoto replied that "we will do our utmost to eliminate our bad loans."
