TEHRAN, July 2 Asia Pulse - The fifth Iran-Yemen Joint Economic Commission meeting, attended by the co-chairmen of the joint economic commission, Iran's Agricultural Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and Yemeni Minister of Planning and Development Ahmad Mohammad Sufan, began here Sunday morning.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the Yemeni minister said there were bright prospects for Tehran-Sanaa ties. Iran had held 14 trade exhibitions in Yemen in recent years.
Sufan also said the volume of annual bilateral trade had currently reached $US25 million, up from just $US1 million a few years ago.
For his part, Hojjati said Iran was ready to share experiences with Yemen.
