SHIRAZ, Fars Prov., July 2 Asia Pulse - Experts and industrialists in Fars Province believe that growth of the Iranian industries is highly dependent on presence of Iranian manufactured products in world markets.
Expressing their views in an interview with IRNA here, the experts said restricting the activities of the industrial sector of domestic markets would not only eliminate grounds for competition but would also deprive the industrialists of the chance to gain access to modern production technology.
Head of the provincial Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Najaf Imani said that economic policies of the past were aimed at manufacturing industrial products for meeting demands of domestic markets and preventing flow of hard currency.
However, efforts that were made in the past three years were further oriented towards paying more attention to international market standards in the manufacture of industrial products.
The official stressed that in order to guarantee successful presence in world markets and compete with other countries with regard to similar products, low price and high quality products should be offered to those markets.
To this end, he further added, modern technology and machinery and high quality materials as well as expert manpower should be employed by the sector.
He also pointed to investment security for both domestic and foreign investors as a prerequisite to bolster the industry sector, adding that new investment should be made in areas with relative preferences.
