Autodesk announced plans to release two new products, as well as fourteen product upgrades, during 2001. Although it's obvious that Autodesk is no longer a single-product company, financial data show just how diversified it has become: While AutoCAD accounted for 80% of operating revenue just five years ago, today it contributes only 30%.
With this next wave of products, Autodesk aims to help its customers extend the use of their digital design data with specialized applications for collaboration, design process automation, and integration.
