Solid modeling vendors today continue the software documentation trend started in the 1990s--less printed training material and more electronic media. Note that some companies still ship free printed tutorials (table 1). Fortunately, this trend means easier access to more training materials and solutions than ever before. Many more options are available as well. New users can choose from paper-based tools, online tools, Web-based tools, game-based tools, instructor-led courses, consulting services, and third-party publications. You should choose your training solution based on a knowledge of issues surrounding each option. For most companies, the best training solution may be a combination of these options.
