QuickPen International created a piping package that thinks like a pipe fitter. PipeDesigner 3D relies on the AutoCAD drawing engine for input-and-output operations. It also includes QuickPen's VSME (Virtual Solid Modeling Engine). VSME is written using Autodesk's ObjectARX technology and provides fully automated drafting and editing, smaller file sizes, and a specification-driven interface.
You easily install PipeDesigner 3D from the CD-ROM through a Web interface. The software is copy protected, and a software lock requires a new authorization code each time you install it.
