With Curtis Leskanic
With a new home and a powerful lineup, the Brewers have a chance to win a lot more games than they did last year. That makes closer Curtis Leskanic much more important. He talks about closing, rats and Pittsburgh with TSN correspondent Emmett Prosser.
TSN: Do relief pitchers need a good sense of humor?
CL: You have to be a little bit wacky in the bullpen. If you go out there and get your stuff handed to you one night, as a reliever, you have to forget it.
TSN: After playing in County Stadium, how nice is it to have a facility like Miller Park?
CL: When I first saw it, I was in shock. When we walked on the field it was like going from one extreme to another. If you dropped a sandwich at County Stadium, a rat would jump out and eat it. Last year, you'd come into some games, and it would be 28 degrees, and there would be 250 people in the stands. The place is first class. It's fun to come to the ballpark everyday.
TSN: Do you enjoy the fact that you don't have to worry about cold weather with the retractable roof at Miller Park?
