As the recent dot-com meltdown teaches, the rapidly changing nature of e-commerce can quickly leave the unprepared and uninitiated scrambling. As a result, e-commerce is the fastest trend to take hold in the slower-changing world of higher education.

"The Internet and e-commerce is proving to have a profound impact on our MBA program," says Randy Batsell, Ph.D., associate professor of management at Rice University's Jesse H. Jones School of Management.
