A few years ago, a student came to me for some advice regarding a dilemma that all accounting students hope to face one day.
She had two offers from two different (what was then) Big Six firms. Both were in the same city, so location was not a consideration. Basically, they were two identical offers from two almost equal firms.
I did what most any professor would do. I talked to her but offered no direction regarding which offer she should accept. I did invite her to come back to tell me which firm she had chosen when she made her decision.
