ADB CARRIES OUT GOVERNANCE ASSESSMENTS TO HELP POOR: EXPERT
MANILA - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has completed governance assessments of four countries and is finalizing studies in three other countries, an ADB senior public administration specialist told an Asia Pacific Forum on Poverty today.
The results of such assessments will help ADB determine its level of concessional assistance as part of its new policy of linking country performance to the amount of assistance it receives, the ADB said.
FEDERATION OF KOREAN INDUSTRIES BUSINESS INDEX UP IN FEBRUARY
SEOUL - South Korea's economic decline is starting to ease at least psychologically, with the Federation of Korean Industries' (FKI) business survey index (BSI) registering a rise to 83 in February from 62.7 in the month before.
Korea's 600 largest companies were surveyed in terms of projected sales revenue. A number above 100 shows managers expect improvement over the previous month, while a number less than 100 indicates a pessimistic outlook.
