Teachers feel the biggest problem in their schools is lack of interest and support from parents. Parents say the schools don't have enough financial support and that they are overcrowded. Parents are more receptive to school choice than teachers. When it comes to curriculum and standards, however, teachers and parents are in agreement. Few parents feel very comfortable making major decisions about their schools. Not surprisingly, teachers balk at their involvement, too.
