Erica Anderson provided the motivation for Sarasota High Wednesday night.
With her team struggling to a scoreless tie after the first half, Anderson took the stand that made the difference.
A more enthusiastic Lady Sailor squad seized control of Port Charlotte in the final 40 minutes of a 5-0 win in the Clas 3A-District 12 semifinals at Dr. Gene Pillot Field.
Sarasota will face Hillsborough Riverview in Friday's district final at Pillot Field. Hillsborough Riverview defeated Brandon 2-1 in Wednesday's other semifinal matchup.
