SINGAPORE, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - SingTel will spend S$30 million in a project to upgrade the network infrastructure in buildings located mainly within the Central Business District, Orchard Road and Science and Technology Parks.
SingTel said its corporate customers located in some 300 commercial buildings in Singapore can look forward to higher security and better back up services for their telecommunications services.
Upgraded buildings will be fully equipped with alternate fibre-optic routes and lead-in pipes to boost diversity and minimize the risk of service interruptions, it said in a statement.
Additional telecommunications equipment and power back-up units will also be installed to ensure optimum resilience in each building.
