BCS blew it
* After watching the Fiesta Bowl debacle, I hope the Bowl Championship Series committee will think twice before inviting the "storied" Notre Dame program to a bowl in the future. Nebraska--which beat the Irish on their home field in the regular season--would have provided a much better matchup for Oregon State. Heck, from what I saw, 10-1 Toledo would have brought a lot tougher wood for the Beavers to chew on.

* The Huskers belonged in a BCS bowl and everyone knew it. Instead, the BCS buckled to the pressure to include Notre Dame. Too bad--instead of two bowl blowouts, the BCS could have had a marquee game with an Oregon State-Nebraska matchup. Just more fuel to the fire that we need a playoff system.
