ImproveNet.com visitors now have another option in obtaining financing for home improvement projects.
PNC Bank, Pittsburgh, is offering home equity loans and home equity lines of credit through the website to consumers in select states.
Registered visitors can click to the "Find a Lender" section of the site where, if they live in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Jersey, Florida, New York or Maryland, they are presented with a link to the online Loan Center at PNCBank.com.
At the Loan Center site, visitors can find more information about home equity loans and home equity lines of credit and also an online loan application. PNC Bank said it can issue a preliminary loan decision in as little as 30 seconds after submission.
The deal follows close on the heels of ImproveNet's agreement to let Wells Fargo offer home equity loans and lines of credit on the site.
ImproveNet matches home improvement professionals in various construction trades with homeowners planning projects. The site also offers advice from building and design experts and calculators to estimate the cost of home improvement projects. Both services are offered to consumers for free.
PNC Mortgage is being acquired by Washington Mutual, the nation's fifth largest mortgage servicer.
