DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA-Federal grants are to be provided for a computer technology center and adult job training program for the District of Columbia. On October 5, Washington, D.C. announced that it would be provided with $672,000 from the U.S. Department of Education for a 25-computer-station technology center and $820,000 from the U.S. Department of Labor to create an adult job training program described as a "campus of opportunity" intended to place 150 D.C. residents in jobs.
