2000 HIGHS AND LOWS
BEST SURPRISE: Daunte Culpepper, QB, Vikings. No one (not even Denny Green) could have expected someone who hadn't thrown an NFL pass to have such an impact.
BIGGEST BUST: Curtis Enis, RB, Bears. Injuries and inconsistency have plagued him his entire career, but this year was his--and his team's--biggest nightmare.
BEST BAND-AID: Ahman Green, RB, Packers. His breakthrough season (1,175 yards rushing) has made the off-injured Dorsey Levens expendable.
MOST PAINFUL INJURY: The Bears--and QB Cade McNown--never recovered after No. 1 receiver Bobby Engram was lost for the season in Week 3.
PLAY TO REMEMBER: Warrick Dunn's pitch to Shaun King in Week 16 against the Rams. That electrifying play (and the ensuing late-hit penalty) saved Tampa Bay's season and nearly killed St. Louis'.
PLAY TO FORGET: That bruising Thanksgiving day hit laid on Lions QB Charlie Batch by Patriots SS Lawyer Milloy. Batch's ribs never healed, and the Lions' offense never was the same.
