NEW DELHI, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - Protesting against the levy of high anti-dumping duties posed by the US administration on steel imports from India, the Indian government has written a letter to the Chairman of Dispute Settlement of the WTO seeking its inclusion in consultation process on the dispute.
The Dispute Settlement body under the WTO is currently examining a dispute relating to imposition of safeguard measures by the US on imports of certain steel wire rods and welded carbon quality line pipe.
In its communication to the WTO, India has said it is keen to join consultations as its steel products are being subjected to restrictive measures by the US authorities.
