IRAN'S DAMAVAND TO HOST INT'L APPLE CONFERENCE.
DAMAVAND, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - An international conference on apples will be held in this mountainous city next spring, Governor of Damavand Mohsen Safari told IRNA on Monday.
According to Safari, a proposal offered by local officials to hold the international conference in this city has been approved by senior officials of the country.
Officials and experts from various countries known for their apple production and export will take part in the conference, the governor added.
At present the secretariat of the conference has been set up in Damavand to make preparations for the conference, Safari further said.
