INDIA'S TRAI SUGGESTS NO REVENUE SHARING FOR VOICE MAIL CONTENTS.
NEW DELHI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Friday recommended no revenue sharing for content services for Voice Mail/Audiotex Services and extending licences to Content Service Providers to cover the Short Distance Charging Area (SDCA) on local call rates.
These form part of a set of recommendations submitted by TRAI to Indian government on Licensing issues relating to Voice ail/Audiotext services, an official statement said here.
"No revenue sharing for content services is being recommended as the revenue share should be charged only from telecommuniation carriage service providers or network operators and not from content application service providers such as Voice Mail/Audiotex," TRAI said.
