Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade and Russian Easter Overture. London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Jose Serebrier. Recorded in 1999, at Watford Coliseum, England. Engineer: Keith Johnson. 59+ minutes. Reference Recordings RR-89. This release has a large-scale, reverberant, well-defined sound that reminds me of the Neeme Jarvi version on Chandos (8479). Both versions stand in contrast to the dryer-sounding, but still very good, Royal Concertgebouw version on London (443 703).
