This is one of those classic good news/ bad news scenarios. The good news is that Waveform, a loudspeaker company from Canada who make some of the best speakers in the world (their tri-amped Mach 17 has been used by Telarc and others for monitoring work) decided that they would like to send us some of their more affordable models for review, and the speakers turned out to be superlative performers; although they were not inexpensive, they represented excellent value. The bad news, however, truly is bad news: about the time our reviewers were writing their final drafts, Waveform's president, John Otvos, decided to get out of the speaker business. He sold off his remaining inventory at half price, and as of this writing, is looking for a buyer. At the moment, then, these excellent speakers are available only on the used market.
