SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - A state-run think tank Wednesday called for the government to push ahead with privatization of the country's energy industry to promote fair competition.
In a paper delivered to a seminar at the Korea Development Institute, Kang Seung-jin of the Korea Energy Economics Institute (KEEI) recommended that the government focus on ways of enhancing research and development on environmental protection, energy saving, storage and international cooperation to secure steady provisions of energy.
