MELBOURNE, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Business services group Ausdoc Group Ltd (ASX:AUD) has posted a $A9.6 million ($US4.84 million) loss for 2000/01, but maintains it is on the road to recovery.
Ausdoc shares, however, fell to an intraday low of $A1.51 ($US.76) before closing one cent weaker at $A1.57 ($US.79).
Ausdoc said its performance in the second half improved, with a 22 per cent increase in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the six months to June 2001.
Its $A9.6 million ($US4.84 million) loss for the year ended June 30, 2001, compared to a $A1.3 million ($US654,810) loss in the previous year.
The company had a $A4.7 million ($US2.37 million) net profit before significant items from $A8.1 million ($US4.08 million) the previous year.
The 2000/01 result included a net loss of $A2.4 million ($US1.21 million) from the Ausdoc On Demand business which had largely been sold.
Ausdoc's bottom line result was dragged into the red by $A14.2 million ($US7.15 million) in losses related to write downs and losses associated with its Outsource division, an investment in an electronic procurement business and restructuring costs.
