LONDON, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- Tin Technology, the organisation representing major tin producers, smelters and consuming industries, announced today that it has signed a co-operation agreement with Yunnan Tin Corporation, China's largest tin producer.
The agreement is part of a drive by Tin Technology to forge links with the Chinese tin industry to develop and support domestic and international demand. It also facilitates co-operation in the transfer of technology and the development of the tin market through Tin Technology's global network of producers and consumers.
The agreement commits the two parties to a number of initiatives including joint research projects, technology transfer, market development in China and the secondment of technical staff. It is hoped that these initiatives will lead to the establishment of a joint liaison office and eventually to Yunnan becoming full members of tin technology.
The Tin Technology visit coincided with a meeting in Beijing of the China Tin Association "I am delighted with the co-operation agreement signed between Tin Technology and Yunnan Tin.
