SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Household loans, excluding cash service and credit card loans, disbursed by banks around the country increased 12.27 trillion won (US$9.43 billion) during the second quarter, the Bank of Korea said Wednesday.
Household loans increased 3.4 trillion won ($2.6 billion) in April, 4.6 trillion won in May and 4.2 trillion won in June.
The central bank said household loans extended during the first quarter, including cash service and credit card loans, came to 8.42 trillion won, bringing the total household loan increase to an excess of 21 trillion won ($16 billion) in the first half.
