SEOUL, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Daewoo Industries and Machinery said Wednesday its first half sales amounted to 803.2 billion won (US$617 million), up 9 per cent compared to the same period a year earlier and operating profit and ordinary profit came to 67.6 billion won ($52 million) and 50.9 billion won respectively.
The company said domestic sales increased only 2 per cent totaling 363.8 billion won due to the sluggish construction market, but exports totaled 439.4 billion won ($338 million), up 16 per cent from the same period last year.
